6280 Phaser paper jam at fuser when color pictures involved

Printing works fine on the 6280 Phaser ... but recently anytime there is a color image on the page (photograph-like — not simple text with color), the paper jams at the fuser. This happens about 99% of the time now and so of course it has caused a lot of problems. Are there any solutions?

Re: 6280 Phaser paper jam at fuser when color pictures involved

Hi LonePine,
Thank you for using the Xerox forum.

I have found 2 known possibilities:

1st is Non Xerox Toner causing fuser jams due to higher melting point than Xerox toner.

2nd – Application. Using an application such as Adobe (Photoshop, etc) that application can provide things like composite black (all 4 colors to make black) and can cause the machine to over tone, too much toner for the fuser to handle and cause fuser jams.

Try lowering density to isolate.
