I've managed to setup our WC6515 to email properly (took a few days...), but it only allows emailing to addresses on the same domain as I use for login - Office365 (xxx-com.mail.protection.outlook.com). We have a few different companies in our office and somehow we need to make it possible to scan/email to their addresses. Logically it seems as if there is a setting needed on the registrar/web host side?

Office365 mail is on smtp.office365.com port 587 and uses STARTTLS
What you are using (I assume xxx is your domain name) is the unauthenticated mail server for use with aging systems that cannot authenticate to industry standards, which is limited and cannot, at least by default, do SMTP relay (Email to external domains)
The exact thing happens when you use gmails ASPMX server.
If you don't want to have the printer use the real server and a real email account (Because it will need to authenticate to it) then you need to setup a Connector on your Office365.

I'm still not getting it to work, see image of settings. I got one scan through to me, then it failed to a different recipient and then it failed for me as well. Getting 016-781 error code. Any further ideas?

Change your validation type top On Device
The error should not at all relate to SMTP data
Scan Server Connect ERR. The CentreWare scan service could not connect to the server to
send a file.
1. Set up the proper machine ‘Subnet Mask’ and ‘Gateway.’
2. ‘PING’ from the destination server, check that the machine is connected.
3. Check that the machine with Windows or UNIX can connect to the destination server via ftp/smb

1) I'm using the exact same network settings as my own computer has (mask/gate/dns), except for the IP address.
2) I can ping the printer IP from cmd and get a response.
3) I'm afraid I don't know what to do here. Connect to the server from my computer with an FTP client?
Thank you for being patient with me!

Until you do the step above in my post as well as the one I re-input below here, it cannot work, and FTP won't at all help an email problem
Change your validation type to On Device

I have been trying to configure SMTP to configure Scan to email but in vain. I am getting 016-772 error. I am trying to use my gmail account. Could you please share with me how you could accomplish this.

You didn't set a DNS, or you entered a wrong one.
If you don't know one, put in your router/gateway address in the spot for the primary, and Googles 184.108.40.206 for a 2nd

Then you need to update what problem you have now because the fault isn't 016-772 if DNS is set.
