Re: wc3220 mac maverick (10.9) scanning setup

Hi again, dr3w.

Sry, but thats how things work!

Companies do want to sell their stuff, and its the same everywhere, cell phones etc, LG & Samsung comes out with new phones every year, and when they do they stop updating the OS on the old phones, that way they try to force customers into buying their new product.

dr3w, I do not feel offended, I'm on this forum by my free will, and I give this forum a lot of my sparetime.

When I see threads about drivers not released I get sickened, cause thats something an IT-tech working with printers or any other driver related product should think about BEFORE updating to a new OS.

Why do you think many big companies recently started upgrading their PC's to Win 7?

I'm sorry that you had to learn it the hard way, but I would recommend you look up the latest drivers for your products before updating (buying a computer with the latest OS) next time.

It'll save you a lot of time and trouble.

Best Regards

Re: wc3220 mac maverick (10.9) scanning setup

Hi there,

type this into google: "TWAIN Scanners in OS X Maverick (and Yosemite)" and follow the first link, then install TwainBridge Mavericks Fix and it should be sorted out. I have Xerox 3220 and scanner works again!

Re: wc3220 mac maverick (10.9) scanning setup

Sadly, a technician has spent 3 hours trying to set up scanning on my new 6515 to my MacBook Pro. USB is not supported and the wi-fi couldn't connect. A connection was made using ethernet but scanning to Word was not an option, even though a rep told me it would be.

As my wife's 10 year old HP MFP scans to Mac it is a sorry state of affairs that Xerox cannot be bothered to get their software working properly.
