Our IT department drops thousands of files at once, multiple times during the day, slowing us down in PreMedia. Is there a way that Core can run the IT files in the background so that our PreMedia department can use the hotfolders without having to wait for the IT files to finish processing?

If the IT department uses Job Priority of Normal and the Hotfolders are set to Job Priority of High, the Hotfolder jobs will take precedence after the current IT job has completed.

Thank you for the info.
I am having a problem with changing the priority of existing workflows from normal to high. I have tried many workflows and just get an error. The error is, "The hot folder cannot be changed while actively processing jobs." I can assure you that I had no jobs processing through the hot folders that I was testing. Am I supposed to do something else to be able to change the priority status?

One could confirm that there are no stray files within the hotfolder. Another option would be to restart the system. If these do not work escalate to the customer hotline. FFCore should not get in the state you have described.
