I got my first Xerox system delivered today. A brand new shiny C60 with Fiery.
It was delivered with firmware 60.12.53. On the support website I found both this version and 60.30.51 which seems to be newer.
However, I can't install it becuase release notes say it is only for machines with 60.20.11 or above and i can not find this version to update in steps.
Is it recommended to update to 60.30.51 or is 60.12.53 fine? If update is recommended, how can I do this without breaking the "60.20.11 or higher" rule?

I honestly don't know the details, I would assume different processors or something that means 2 machines are developed at the same name. I know there was a Tsunami that completely destroyed a manufacturing plant where Xerox made a particular device around 8 years ago, and when it happened the chips that were used were no longer available anywhere else, so they had to replace the chip with another, which lead to another firmware branch.
I will see what I can find, if I do get an answer, I'll will reply here with it.

The information that there are two firmware branches and that 60.12.xx is the latest for my device and 60.30xx is not useable for it is what i needed. We have a SOP that we need to have the latest firmware running before putting the device onto the production LAN.
