I network via IP from an iMac on my office desk to a WorkCentre 7665. With Mac OS X 10.7 it worked flawlessly using the latest Xerox driver (2.7.0). Now with the new OS X 10.8 it does not work at all -- I get a crash message saying that that the 'Xerox PS File' has suddenly quit (it politely informs Apple). I've reinstalled the driver 2.7.0 with a restart, deleted the Xerox folder in my System Library (./library/printers/xerox) followed by a fresh install of 2.7.0, and deleted the printer description and made a new one. None of this helps as I get the same error message.

You may want to try this:
- download the generic PPD driver for this device here
- Copy the PPD file somewhere in your HD
- Add a IP printer, give IP, queue, etc
- on the driver, chose other, and browse for the PPD that you saved
And it is done. You will not have a fancy look and fill but it may work
I didn't try this on 10.8 yet, but should work.

That worked, and I thank you.
I also set up a separate printer to the same WorkCentre, choosing as its driver the generic Apple CUPS driver. That also worked.
So your 2.71 and 2.70 drivers have a problem with 10.8 but we do have some choices to work-around.

We have a Workcentre 7120. I'm the only Mac in the office (OS X 10.8), and I can't print to it. Will this same workaround work for the 7120? Is there a generic driver for the 7120?
A Xerox engineer told us that we needed to pay $550 for a Postscript kit in order for me to be able to print to the 7120. Does that sound right to you?
