XEROX® WorkCentre® 7225 Wifi Direct Connectivity Problem

HI , 

Could you please help in configuring the Xerox 7225 i Wifi Direct . 

I need detail instructions to configure , Xerox Support document not mentioned clearly.

If anyone tried of that wifi direct. Please help me. 

Connection Method

Push Button Configuration (PBC)  This one i tried by Clicking simltaneously on mobile while connecting the Xerox wifi SSID and Xerox wifi Dongle WPS button , But it didnt worked.

WiFi Direct is Android only, Apple/Windows do not support it.


The WPS button is only to connect the printer to the LAN by WiFi, not at all used in WiFi direct. If the machine is connected to the LAN via WiFi dongle, it does not support the use of WiFi Direct communication.


So if the highlighted is active, WiFi Direct isn't supported, in the case where it is, you need to use MOPRIA/Airprint.




On the Android side, you only need to install the Xerox Print Service plugin, nothing else, no configuration at all.


In order to get full features, Airprint/MOPRIA should also be enabled, but they are not needed. This is done in the same place as above.

CWIS > Properties > Connectivity > Setup




And each phone will be moderately different, along with each app, but


Hamburger Menu > Print (My 7225 WiFi Direct is on the bottom here)

And when I select it to print , I get the prompt

And then you just do what the printer tells you.
