Drop Box App - can't stay logged in w/o needing to retype authentication -- (UPDATE REQUESTED)

I've found several threads on the issue around Drop Box app where users get frustrated about needing

to retype username/password everytime they use the app or while attempting to remain logged in and the machine front panel times out to default settings & the Drop Box session is lost requiring re-authentication.  The last response I saw was "many have posted on this issue" and it was to be put on a features list for upcoming release.  MY QUESTION IS:  Is there a date for a new release that might encompass the myriad of changes needed to make this app more user friendly?  I have a huge opportunity that won't close with the existing Drop Box app.

Hello, Anthony. 

 

There have been changes to the Dropbox App with the last few releases. One feature that has been added is the implementation of Drobox oAuth 2.0 which provides enhanced security for users.  Unfortunately, the oAuth API does not support the saving/caching of user credentials that would allow the login behavior that is described here.

 

I have shared your feedbak with the program team so that they are aware of features that users are requesting.  I will update this post if there will be/can be any changes in this are.
