Hi LindaA,
Yes, remove/uninstall the driver from one of the laptops that is not printing in color and reinstall. Please review the installation instructions at the end of this document about Window 8/8.1 drivers when reinstalling the driver.
I tried all the you suggested, re-booted the printer, and still no color. Ironically, my out put from my 3rd laptop (windows 7) is printing in color. This suggests the driver on the other two laptops. Should I delete and reload the drivers themselves? This is getting frustrating.
Hi LindaA,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure that the settings are set for color in the driver. The machine has a mode that allows it to continue printing in black and white when one or more of the colors runs out. This may be what happened in your case. Once you have checked the setting also power off and back on the printer. If it still fails to print color please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
I have a 6128MFP and lately it won't print in color. It prints everything in black. There was another thread that mentioned black printing was faint, but that's not my issue. All three colors were low so I replaced them at the same time. They show as now being full on the main screen on the printer's message panel, so I know they are "registered" with the computer. I saw another thread that mentioned issues with Win 7 vs Win 8 drivers. I have two different laptops, each with the two different OS and the output is the same. I made sure print in color is selected in the print options screen. One of the laptops is used at a work location with a 6605 printer and that printer prints in color.
How can I fix this?
Thank you!
