we bought a Xerox WorkCentre 3335 and we have a lot of problems (we updated the lastest firmware)!
We would like to integrate this Printer to our network (Mikrotik network, Windows Server 2016 domain environment).
2. SCAN to SMB Problem (printer connected with DHCP 10.100.100.251/24 – DNS Server: myserver2016.mydomain.local)
Subnet: 10.100.100.0/24 – Gateway:10.100.100.254 (Ping is ok between printer and server)
For example, our server FQDN is: myserver2016.mydomain.local – Its IP address: 10.100.100.10
For example, our scan user (registered by AD): myserver2016.mydomain.local\scan or mydomain.local\scan or mydomain\scan.
For example, we have a Share Folder: Its name is Share.
And we have subfolders: \Scan\Username1
"Scan" user has full permission to security and share to the "Share" folder. I tested it with a workgroup computer. It was working fine!
"Scan" user has full permission to security to the "\Scan and \Username1" folders. I tested it with a workgroup computer. It was working fine!
So I connected from .\workgrouPC to the \\myserver2016.mydomain.local\Share\Scan\Username1
and it was working fine. I could make and delete files or/and folders.
But the printer doesn’t scan… ☹
I have tried many methods:
File Exist ott he faliure is unspecifed
: FQDN of myserver of IP address
: „Scan” user
