I suggest you try accessing the folder with another computer, if thats not possible you will not be able to access the folder with the printer either.

We have a 3550. We are trying to scan from it to a Windows 8 PC. When we were using XP, it scanned over SMB perfectly. Once we switched to Windows 8, however,, it hasn't been successful since. I returned the SMB scanning defaults back to factory. I deleted the former profile. I put in the correct IP address for the computer (wired ethernet, not the wireless IP) and made sure the folder is shared with the User Account that the Xerox has access to. But even with all this, I go to scan and before the machine can even scan the file, it says "Error" and prints off a confirmation page saying there were errors (no codes, no real reason). What am I doing wrong?
