Hi Minerdm, 

You should be able to send a fax directly from the print driver as follows :

1. With the document or graphic open in your application, open the Print window. For most software applications, click File > Print or press CTRL+P.
2. Select your printer, then click Properties to open the print driver window.
3. On the Printing Options tab.
4. From the Job Type list, select Fax.
5. Click Recipients.
6. Do one or more of the following:
   • Click the Add From Phonebook button, then select a phone book from the list. Select a name from the upper list, then add it to the Fax Recipients. Too add more names, repeat the procedure. Click OK.
   • Click the Add Recipients button, type the recipient name and fax number, add other information, then click OK. Add new recipients as needed.
7. To include a cover sheet, click Cover Sheet, then from the Cover Sheet Options list, select Print a Cover Sheet.
8. On the Cover Sheet information tab, type notes that you want to appear on the cover sheet.
9. From the Image menu, then from the Watermark sub-menu, select Custom.
10. On the Options tab, select the options for this fax.
11. Click OK.
12. In the Fax Properties window, click OK.
13. In the Print window, click OK. A Fax Confirmation sheet window will be displayed.
14. Make sure that the recipient names and fax numbers are correct, then click OK.

Sending a Fax Using Macintosh Applications

NOTE: You can send a fax from many Macintosh applications by using the fax driver.

1. Access the print settings in your software application. For most software applications, pressCMD+P.
2. Select your LAN fax printer from the list.
3. To access the fax driver settings, select Fax Setting. The title of the button can vary depending on your application.
4. Modify fax settings as needed. For more information, click the Help (?) button.
5. Click Print.
6. Do one or more of the following:
   1. Enter the recipient name and fax number, then click Add.
   2. Click Look Up Address Book, select recipients from the local Address Book, or click Look UpDevice Address Book and select recipients, then click Add.
7. Click OK.
8. To delay sending the fax, select Delayed Send, then enter the time that you want the fax to be sent.
9. Click Start Sending.

I recently purchased a WorkCentre 3615 to replace a 3220.  I assumed that the much more expensive machine would at a minimum contain the same utilities and driver features as the dated 3220.  After spending a long time on the phone with a tech, he told me that the 3615 does not support PC Fax.  He acknowledged the shortcomings and his solution was to reach out to the company that sold me the machine (Amazon.com) for a work around.  Unbelievable.
