Hello,
Yep, the firmware is current. I'm guessing there is a workaround for this issue with windows 7. Due to the numerous machines with the same issue (listed in previous post). Any other suggestions? I have tried just about everything.
Hi.
I know it's an old thread, but: any news on this?
We got ourselves a 3635MFP this week and we're already regreting it, there's no human power that let us scan over the network.
Tried all suggestions listed in this thread, also have installed SPAR version 20.102.03.025, still no luck.
I'm out of ideas.
Any suggestions?
trying to configure 4 Windows 7 Home Premium machines to scan via network SMB.
PS: Almost forget: in the MF display it reads "Job failed beacuse file name is invalid" every time we try to scan.
Thanks in advance.
I've the same problem here. I'm using Windows 7 Home Basic.
i see a new firmware release : 20.103.05.007, maybe some1 can try it?
Fabio, where can I find the new firmware? I could find only version 20.102.03.000 (which is the version I already have) in support.xerox.com.
I've found the new firmware and installed it. But I continue to get the same error: "job failed because file name is invalid".
I finally found the culprit. It's not Windows 7 itself, but Windows Live Sign In Assistant.
It comes with Live Essentials, just uninstall it and everything will run smooth.
Youl have to uninstall the entire Live Essentials Suite completely (no messenger, movie maker, etc).
BTW, the latest firmware (20.103.05.007) won't fix this issue.
I hope someone of xerox staff can read this to address this issue and help us.
Regards
