I tried downloading the windows TWAIN driver package to see if I could get that working. There's a few .exe files there but no obvious installer program. Neither does there appear to be instructions on how to install it. There's also a few help files (.chm) in the package but winXP has sees only the help topics in the files but can't read the actual content. Xerox don't seem to be making this easy.

have you looked in the brochure?
Yes. The brochure says the printer supports "Network Scan to TWAIN/WIA applications". I'm still trying to work out...
Is there a TWAIN driver for OSX for the 4250?
Alternatively, is the 4250 compatible with the TWAIN driver for one of the other Xerox devices?

Is TWAIN scanning to OSX possible for the 4250?
After installing the universal print driver package for my 4250 printer I can see several Xerox scanners listed as possible scan sources in my TWAIN application but none of the scanners listed is the 4250. I checked the Xerox download page for this printer. There is a TWAIN driver package for windows but no TWAIN driver listed for OSX.
