Re: 550 Stored programming

Thanks for your reply. The new solution link you posted did work for me with one exception. The "Stored Programming" button was not available on my "Services Home" page. I was able to figure out how to add it and once I did, all worked fine on retrieving my stored programming. In case anyone else runs across this same issue, you can add the "Stored Programming" button to your "Services Home" screen by going to "Machine Status", "Tools", "Systems Settings", "Common Service Settings", and select "Screen/Button Settings". On the Screen/Button Settings page, select (highlight) "Services Home" and hit the "Change Settings" button. That is where you can add the Stored Programming button to your Services Home page. Just something worth noting. There are 2 different Stored Programming options on these copiers. One is for the "Build a Job" function under copying which is not what I am referring to here. The other is just for storing preconfigured machine settings, which I use for custom copy settings, but I assume you could use for other machine functions as well. Thanks for your help!

Re: 550 Stored programming

There is a new solution for this --> Here

If the link does not work try going to the Support page: Here

and search for:

How To Save, Name, and Retrieve Stored Programming Settings

Hope this helps!

Thanks

Re: 550 Stored programming

I realize this thread is a little old, but we have a new 560 that has the same issue.  There is not an option to save settings as described in the user manual or by the link mentioned above.  Could someone from Xerox please address this?

Thanks.

Re: 550 Stored programming

That solution doesn't work and appears to have been created for a different machine.  The 550/560 do NOT have "save current settings" and "retrieve current settings" choices on the job assembly screen.  They have a "stored programming" choice.

Re: 550 Stored programming

Hi mmorrow,

Thank you for using the Support Forum.  Please take a look at this solution for saving and retrieving copy settings and see if this will work for you.  If this is not what you are looking for or if it does not work you might need to contact your local support centre.

Thanks,

550 Stored programming

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Customer has a 550 with no Fiery.  They want to use stored programming on the device.  It looks like it should work, but it doesn't.

To create stored programming, I'm going to Machine status/tools/Stored Programming.  At that point there's a choice for "Store" or "Store Build Job".  I select Store, an available slot, and then create copy settings.  I give new stored programming a name.

Then I go to Copy function, job assembly screen.  Stored programming button remains unavailable.  When you click, it says "The Stored programming for Build Job will only take effect from the second job segment."  That would make sense if I was trying to use Stored Build Job programming, but I'm not.

Any ideas?  Has anyone made it work?
