I realize this thread is a little old, but we have a new 560 that has the same issue. There is not an option to save settings as described in the user manual or by the link mentioned above. Could someone from Xerox please address this?
Thanks.
That solution doesn't work and appears to have been created for a different machine. The 550/560 do NOT have "save current settings" and "retrieve current settings" choices on the job assembly screen. They have a "stored programming" choice.
Hi mmorrow,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at this solution for saving and retrieving copy settings and see if this will work for you. If this is not what you are looking for or if it does not work you might need to contact your local support centre.
Customer has a 550 with no Fiery. They want to use stored programming on the device. It looks like it should work, but it doesn't.
To create stored programming, I'm going to Machine status/tools/Stored Programming. At that point there's a choice for "Store" or "Store Build Job". I select Store, an available slot, and then create copy settings. I give new stored programming a name.
Then I go to Copy function, job assembly screen. Stored programming button remains unavailable. When you click, it says "The Stored programming for Build Job will only take effect from the second job segment." That would make sense if I was trying to use Stored Build Job programming, but I'm not.
Any ideas? Has anyone made it work?
