5865 Scan Setup

I think I followed the instructions for setting up the scanning.  It tells me that my password is incorrect.  I checked the password and it is correct. I don't know what password it is talking about!

Re: 5865 Scan Setup

The password in reference is the password to the share you are connecting to.

If it is a domain account you need domain credentials, so the username in a domain will be formatted domain\username or username@domain, you can see the proper setup from the share in it's permissions at the PC/Server

Just make sure when you select the user they have Full control.

It is possible that the machine is on too old of a firmware for whatever PC you are scanning to, but that question can only be answered if you supply the PC setup and printer firmware level
