Re: 5955 Fax Activity Report

Being that I actually support the Connectkey devices in my real job, and do so as 2nd level, believe me when I say the 073 releases so far are incredible in comparison to both the 071 and 072 releases. They fixed just about every single issue we had complained about.

Thank you Joe. This makes sense and I believe the firmware was the problem in this case.
073 sounds like it will be a lot of fun. . . .

Not a certainty, but that issues typically happens on devices where a clone file is used across a generational gap in firmware.

The 59xx/58xx/6655/722x/78xx/79xx/3655 are all Connectkey products. If you take a clone file from a 58xx and put it on a 59xx it will break fax.

It will also cause major issues if you use a clone on a firmware that starts with 072 (Connectkey 1.5), from a machine that has one beginning with 071 (This is Connectkey 1.0)

If that is the case, the only way to fix it is with an Altboot no data backup no clone, which means the tech wipes the device, brings it to the latest release, and you set it back up manually.

We have now moved on to an 073 release (Oddly, we are not calling it Connectkey 2.0) that will not allow clone files if they come from other devices or incompatible firmware.

5955 Fax Activity Report

Jump to solution
Product Name: Other - specify product in post

On the Fax activity report from our 5955 I have a few questions that will hopefully help us understand why faxes are showing as received and completed yet nothing was printed. (Note - we have already checked the internal mailbox, job status area, and hard drive memory area.)

When some faxes are being received by the machine it beeps and the activity report reflects the following:

On the faxes in question the entries in the Remote Station Column is empty (no sender's phone number).

Page column is 1/1 - even though the sender was sending 6 pages.

The Line column for these faxes is N/A

The Job Type column is RP which indicates Report according to the legend on the report.

The Results column is CP which indicates Completed according to the legend on the report.

Can someone explain what these indicate and where are the faxes??

Thank you.
