6204 Wide Format AccXes Client Tool not connecting to printer

Resently i have been trying to scan on our work 6204 Wide Format Plotter. The plotter will scan and store the images but when i try to connect to the printer through the AccXes Client Tool to retrieve the scans it connot connect to the. I have one computer on windows 8 and a second machine that has Windows XP that can be used to install the programme on to. It has been tried on both and still had the same problem.

 

The error message i get after trying to connect via the device manager is:

"Failed to get printer ID from 1 or more devices."

 

So I would like some help with getting the AccXes Client Tool program to connect to the printer.
