6505DN SMTP Login Name Problems

This is a problem as we have no control over creating the login name. Is this something that Xerox is planning on fixing?

I'm nearly 100% sure that this will not work. The workaround is to avoid these characters.

I am having trouble setting up Email Send Authentication section for our 6505DN.

The login name for our SMTP is username+domainname (the plus sign is required).

Whenever I try to save the changes in the web interface I get the following message:

Unable to apply settings.
Please check the settings for the following items.
Email Send Authentication : SMTP Login Name

It it possible to have a username with the plus sign in it for this machine? If so, how do I enter it? If not, are there any workarounds?
