I've got the cross over cable connected. I know the printer and FF are communicating because I was able to uodate the template I created yesterday, but I still can't find the 'properties -> services' area that you mentioned. I only have 'Preferences' (top right), 'Job Submission', and 'Scan Services'
What you mentioned above sounds a lot like the workcenter config. can't seem to find that web page.
I've got two free network hosts on the back of my FFF. I've tried both, but I still can't update the templates. Do I have to do anything on the printer and the print server. I guess I'll restart both.
Thanks. Your reply reminds me of the steps I took to set up other Xerox network scanners.
I think what has happened here is that the print server is on the network, but the actual printer is not. I've been trying to do this from the web page connected to the FreeFlow print server. This is why it has not worked.
You need to setup a File Repository.
Got to 700 web page, properties up top, Services on left, workflow(or network Scanning, file repository
Once you setup that you can create a template that points to the repository. You could also add subfolders to the repository destination via the template.
Make sure there is a crossover between your FFPS and the 700 as that is where the scan data goes across and your 700 is talking to FFPS on the 100.100.100.x network.
Can someone post the steps I need to go through to get network scanning (to FTP) working on a Xeros 700 Digital Color Press. I have created and edited templates before on Xerox products, but that was printers with intergrated print servers.
This printer is connected to a FreeFlow print server.
I was able to login to the web gui and see where I need to create web templates, but where do I input the IP and login info for the ftp server that will recieve the file? I've been going around and around on this so even a little help would be appreciated. Thanks
