upgrade to firmware : 061 121 222 06507, the "unknown error" problem is fixed in there

Does anyone have intimate knowledge with proper setup for scanning to a domain share?
The vendor has 10 hours in and 7545 is not scanning to a share.
I am pretty frustrated with the whole experience.
What OS is your machine scanning to. An error like that with using the hostname and or IP address is usally scaused by Windows 7 or 2008 server. You will want to contact the Customer Support number to obtain a new version of sofware for that machine and possibly use the 445 port number.
Try to use port 445 with scanning to SMB instead of 139; are you using a 2003 or 2008 server? with 2008 there are some issues with scanning with this particular device.
But you mention LDAP; are we talking about email or scan to file? with scan to email, make sure the domain-name is set in the TCP/IP settings. such as domain.local
We replaced our 7335 with a 7545.
The locals can not figure out how to setup the 7545 to scan to a share on the file server; the exact same location that the 7335 was scanning to.
LDAP is configured and is working.
The error page print out only says Unknown Errors.
