It's gone.

 

Even if you took the drive out and hooked it up to a PC, it is not in a standard format for the PC to read (Possibly could with Linux, but not Windows) And even then the drive is Encrypted, so even if you could read it, you would need to Decrypt it, and the Act of Decrypting would Write to the area that held the traces of the deleted file.

8560 MFP scan undelete

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

The last item scanned on my 8560MFP was not downloaded (via the web-style interface) before the file cleanup deadline arrived, and the scan disappeared.

 

I suspect one could undelete the file by removing the hard drive from the printer and running file recovery software, but I'm not sure how hard it is to get at the internal hard drive.

 

Are there ways to access the hard drive through the Ethernet that might make file recovery possible?

 

Or are there other ways to recover a lost scan?
