I had an email into tech support and they advised me to call Support.
Seems odd that 64bit wouldn't be supported when Xerox lists 64bit drivers with Xerox Scan Utility right on the driver & downloads page.
The Xerox Scan Utility does not work either. I'm at a complete loss.
When I go to the scanner and click scan, then scan to, the Windows 7 64bit PC is not displayed. 32 bit PCs on the network seem to work fine though.
I updated to the beta firmware, 4.9.6 but I'm still having the same problem.
Even when I go to Scanners And Cameras in Windows and try to change any configuration options under properties, it errors out and says they cannot be changed. It's acting like it can't communicate at all with the 8560mfp.
I uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers multiple times, trying both WIA & TWAIN with no luck. Also tried switching between hostname and IP Address with no luck as well.
have you tried upgrading to version 4.9.6 , below is a fix included in that release, maybe that is related to your problem
Multiple customers corrects the 'dropping off the network' issue on the 8560MFP. Symptoms are can't print, CWIS unresponsive, can't successfully PING the Ethernet interface. (SER 9.3)
Thanks for the quick reply, but I have already been through that a couple of times. It looks like everything installs correctly, but the scanner doesn't seem to respond.
I have also disabled the Windows Firewall in attempt to make it work with no luck either. When it asks for the device's hostname or IP Address, I have tried using the host name and the IP address and that has not made a difference either.
I purchased a Xerox 8560mfp in hopes I could make my office paperless. So far that has not happened because I cannot get WIA or TWAIN scanning to work.
I have downloaded the 64 bit drivers for the 8560mfp network scan and it seems to install ok. The scanner will show up in 'View Scanners and Cameras' but every application that I try to acquire scans from says that the scanner is disconnected or not powered on. I have uninstalled/reinstalled numerous times and have tried both TWAIN and WIA varients of the driver. Trying to scan into Photoshop, Windows Word, Windows Fax and Scan, and some other software I have all fail.
Anyways would be greatly appreciated. I have tried this on several computers, as well as a fresh Windows 7 install.
