We are having the same issue with Server 2012 R2 while using SMB scan for incoming faxes and there is no option for any protocol other than SMB here. Is there another firmware that has this option?
I have version 061.090.222.33302. Is that compatible with Windows 2012 R2 with SMB 3.0?
The last is: 061.050.223.04800
A quick update on this:
If the scans are sent to a non-Windows Server 2012 location they work properly.
It sounds like it probably does need a firmware upgrade. Any idea where to find the latest one? The firmware listed on the ColorQube 9202 downloads page is outdated.
Thanks for the reply.
I don't think there are special characters in any fields, but where would I check the document field you're referring to?
Username/password and permissions are set correctly.
I've looked into upgrading firmware, but that's been a little tricky. The version we currently have installed is 061.050.221.29200. The firmware on Xerox's downloads site is 060.050.009.30823. This was released in 2010 and appears to be an older version.
sharkbite,
Do you have any special characters in the document field? Also, I would double check the username and password on both the CWIS and the server (Might has well check users permissions also). You should also make sure you Xerox has the latest firmware as many issues with SMB scanning have been fixed in the latest releases.
Hey guys. We just migrated from Server 2008 R2 to Server 2012 and network scans via SMB are now failing with the error "remote directory lock failed". The service account we use has both share and NTFS permissions to the scan folder. When I attempt to scan a folder called "doc.lck" and a file called "lockinfo.dat" are created, and then the scan fails.
Any help would be appreciated!
