Re: ADF not working

I had that photo from an Archive. My current work assignment doesn't have me working on this model.

I will be in an area in a couple weeks where I do, and if I see one, will update this thread with some pics.

However, you shouldn't have to use a screw driver to fix the machine. I suggest calling Xerox (your printer is still under warranty 1 year from date of purchase) and having them fix for free . It will be faster this way. Also I could be wrong about the sensor.

Re: ADF not working

I don't suppose you could put a picture of what screw I'm supposed to take out.  Not really an IT guy and it is not obvious to me

Re: ADF not working

Return it or put it up for service.

If I were to guess the document present sensor is unplugged. One screw on the back cover of the adf holds it on. If you remove it you can remove the cover.

Then you might find attached. Sensor just needs to be reseated all the way

ADF not working

Product Name: WorkCentre 6515
Operating System: Not Applicable

This is a brand new printer.  I'm new to xerox printers and while I think my skill with devices like this is above normal I am a Computer Science major, not an IT professional.  I was told to set up this printer.  I am the sole programmer at a medical device startup so somehow this falls on me.  I have pretty much everything working except the auto document feeder.  If I stick papers in to far it complains of a paper jam but if I have it any less in, than that it says I don't have anything there to be copied.  Is there a step in the unpacking I missed because I don't see what would be causing thisIMG-0043.JPG
