Re: Add Me button during Scan to Email missing after firmware upgrade

Thanks for the note Fabio! We do not use LDAP configurations on the device itself, just info via PaperCut.

Re: Add Me button during Scan to Email missing after firmware upgrade

quick note

seems on altalink with 101 firmware , when NO LDAP is configred, the ADD ME button never appears

this is indeed different with .100 firmware, then there was always an add me button, even if no LDAP configured

this was also working correctl on xerox worcentre, seems indeed then a bug in .101

Re: Add Me button during Scan to Email missing after firmware upgrade

Hey Fabio, this is most confusing. We had already checked that advanced line in PaperCut and that was set to default. Even changed it to Yes just for this one device we are testing with but no dice.

We ended up installing the older firmware on our C8070 and verified the Add Me button was back. We then installed this latest firmware again and the Add Me button is gone even when enabling the Personalized User Profile. We know it is getting email address information after we log in. After clicking on the Email button and Show Additional Features at the bottom of the screen, it shows my personal email address in the From and ReplyTo fields.

We're running PaperCut 18.1.3 but we don't think that is a factor at least after looking through their release notes since that version.

Re: Add Me button during Scan to Email missing after firmware upgrade

we are running 18.3 releases

i do like 2 papercut installs on customer sites every week, never have issues with it

you know there is an advanced line in the devices in papercut? on every device you can configure :

ext-device.xerox.send-users-email-address-to-device , but that is default to DEFAULT = YES , so unless you changed it, there shouldnt be any problem

the only issue on altalink is that the FROM address is ALWAYS the one from the logged in user, regardless the setting on an altalink that alawys a static from address should be configured, but there is already a patch for it

this is needed if you are working with office 365 for example, and a service account is filled in, then the from addres may not change

Yes , 00300, working without issues, add me button is working as expected if....
Email address visible filled in in papercut
And
Personalization option on machine is on

Re: Add Me button during Scan to Email missing after firmware upgrade

Quick question for you. Are you running the newer firmware 101.001.009.00300? We rolled back the firmware on one of our devices just to see what happened and the Add Me button returned. Regarding the PaperCut config, we do have the email address populated for all of our users. Thanks!

Re: Add Me button during Scan to Email missing after firmware upgrade

i am also using papercut, no issues here with To and From field

make sure that in papercut the emai address is filled in on the users there, since the machine is using THAT email address, and not the one from LDAP
