I ran into this. If you restricted public access from the printer's security section, then you'll get an error. Make sure you have the correct public permissions allowed since the app doesn't use any credentials.

I found this article on unable to scan with some trouble shooting steps to try and fix the issue.  If you are still having issues after trying these steps, I suggest that you call into our support department for assistance @ 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100

'An Unknown error has occurred' when using scan function from Xerox Print and Scan Experience

Product Name: Xerox C235 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

 

I get the following error from my Xerox C235 MFP when trying to scan anything. I have tried the different drivers available from Xerox Smart Start but they all produce the same error.

Has anyone else encountered this error? Where can I go to find more info on the error itself?
