Ans/Fax setting on 6015NI

I don't recall getting a phone cable with the unit, but I'll have a look around. Do you know what is special about the cable?

I'm assuming that I would use that special cable to connect the Xerox to my phone jack.

Just had this problem - you must use the rj11 (phone cable) supplied with the machine.  If they didn't supply one, get one from Xerox.  You don't want to plug in a phone the EXT.

I'm having trouble getting the Ans/Fax feature to work. What seems to be happening is that the 6015 is not listening to the line to determine if an incoming call is a fax or not. When someone calls our home number, the answering machine kicks in and immediately gets cut off by the 6015 fax. It doesn't seem to matter what delay I have for the Auto Ans Ans/Fax setting.

My answering machine is across the house so it can't be plugged into the EXT jack on the machine. I have another phone plugged into the EXT jack.

Any suggestions would be welcome.
