We use to have the Xerox Workcentre 7535 and it did auto detect and rotate all the pages the same way. Once we upgraded to a new system Xerox Workcentre 7830 it hasn't worked. It says right on the scanner setting, under Original Orientation: Portrait or Landscapte Originals: "Refers to original image orientation. When selected, you can load your originals upright or sideways and they will be automatically rotated correctly." That means it can be automatically rotated, someone just needs to figure how to get it to work. We need an expert technician to help.
In that case, the only way to do it at the machine is to enable "Build Job", scan in segments, and program the "Rotate Side 2" as needed per segment. Software solution seems the most pratical.
the problem is that some of the side 2 pages are rotated 180 degrees. so some will be the right way and some will be upsdied down.
if I set it ro rotate side 2 then the other pages are upsdie down.
I hope that I explained it properly
Bradhaun,
If it is only the second side of each page that needs to be rotated, go to the 2 side options and selcect "Rotate Side 2".
You can't get the machine to do it, the machine has no idea where up is , any rotation will have to be done via software.
I have documents that I want to scan to SMB and email that has some pages that are rotated 180 degrees (the document is Double Sided). I would like to be able to put them all in the feeder and when they are scanned auto rotate it to the correct orientaion so when the pdf is created all of the pages are correct, and I do not have to fix them using PDF or another outside program.
Thanks for any ideas on how to make the unit do this.
