Engineering replied and said to change the forced page break setting to 1.2 to resolve the issue. So far it's worked for our client since last week.
Thanks I will try that as well- I set one of the machines that was printing the extra page to "forward to email" and the PDF that was attached to the email did not have the "to be continued" additional blank page. Go figure.
Thanks Jamie! I'll try that out the next chance I get to stop by. I currently have a ticket open with engineering to look into it. I recently visited the site with one of my peers and we tested it extensively. In this particular environment, I believe we've narrowed it down to faxes that are of digital origin. We've tested different paper sizes from a test 7556 in our office and they did not produce the "to be continued page." Other analog faxes received did not either. They receive digital medical invoices through a service and they're consistently doing this.
Also using test fax services from other manufacturers does the same thing. When we print the fax activity report, it shows that these digital faxes are only single pages.
There are different fax boards for the 405 line just like there is for the WC/AL A3 units. Hardware support had us swap the board out with the other generation and that did not help.
Once we hear back from engineering and have a solution, I'll post the update here.
Hi, I struggled with this for about a year and the fix ended up being to set the Force Page Break to 0.6 in. Hope that helps.
Hi Jordan,
Did the NVM reinit do the trick?
Thanks for the update! Hopefully that will work!
Just to update everyone on what I found today:
The machine with Firmware (38.10.41) worked with no problem since my last post. After speaking with Xerox technical support I performed a NMV Initialization for Firmware (38.66.11) which is the one that was printing blank pages and "To be continued...". I will update everyone on Friday or if I hear anything different from the customer.
Just an FYI - Updating the firmware did NOT fix this issue for me - so hopefully the NMV Initialization does.
Scott39,
We have a machine in the field doing the same thing. I've tried firmware updates and I just swapped it with a machine that has older firmware. I've also disabled ECM.
