Hello,
I have a B405 that will receive extra pages from a fax that just says "to be continued" across the top and may have one line of information on it. One fax wasted half of a ream of paper. I have the faxes setting of "auto reduce on reciept" turned on but it still wastes another sheet of paper.
Any ideas how to fix this?
thanks!
Hello Scott,
I am not sure what this would be. I would recommend reviewing all the fax configuration settings to see if there is something in there that can help you.
I'm not sure either- I have checked all of the fax settings that I could find that may have an effect- made the margins 0.0, ensured that "auto reduce" was enabled, etc. This problem did not occur on the previous workcenter 3615, just started when we plugged in the B405. Very frustrating because a 29 page fax prints out 58 sheets of paper with the word "continued" on every other sheet.
Hi Scott,
Did you ever find a solutions to this issue? We are having the exact same problem. Thanks!
No I never had any luck with that- however, I used the "fax forward to email" feature and when the PDF is recieved in the email, the pages are correct (without the blanks).
Thanks for the reply! I'm hesitant to forward to email right now as it may not work for our business, so I'll hold out hope that a solution comes along. Definitely tried every possible setting though...
Scott39,
We have a machine in the field doing the same thing. I've tried firmware updates and I just swapped it with a machine that has older firmware. I've also disabled ECM.
Just to update everyone on what I found today:
The machine with Firmware (38.10.41) worked with no problem since my last post. After speaking with Xerox technical support I performed a NMV Initialization for Firmware (38.66.11) which is the one that was printing blank pages and "To be continued...". I will update everyone on Friday or if I hear anything different from the customer.
Just an FYI - Updating the firmware did NOT fix this issue for me - so hopefully the NMV Initialization does.
Thanks for the update! Hopefully that will work!
Hi Jordan,
Did the NVM reinit do the trick?
