Don’t waste your time changing the scan settings for the DocuMate 3125. What you fix for one issue is sure to break something else. There is a much easier fix that goes to the heart of the problem Open your OneTouch program. I believe the default setting for button #1 is Nuance PaperPort/Auto Page HQ.
Double click on the Auto Page HQ option (or whichever one is your default). Make sure the box for “Use TWAIN driver Plus settings” is checked. You might have to tap on the unlock icon next to the configuration name box to save the configuration. Then after saving, lock the configuration again. It worked perfectly for me on the next scan and every one after.

I am using a mac and i'm facing this issue... I've tried to uninstall the old driver and reinstall the latest driver but it didn't work.
I am also facing the same issue, anyone found a solution? Someone please assist.
I had the same problem with a hand me down scanner.
I was able to fix the blue backgrounds with a few tweaks to the 'scan settings' on the 'TWAIN Driver PLUS settings'.
Under the 'Image enhancements' tab, go to the 'Channel:' drop down and select 'Blue'.
Next go to the 'Advanced' section and set the 'White level' to a value of 255.
I believe that the scanner lights start to fade later in its life causing the blue tint.
Hopefully that helps.

Hello yasocim,
Documate Scanners are handled by a different division called Xerox Scanners. This forum is for Xerox Printers and copiers. HERE is the contact info for the Xerox Scanners division.
I never got a reply from Xerox on this issue. Our only resolution is to purchase a new scanner. The last one that failed was not even a year old. Xerox - are you listening at all?

Cheryl - This is a Xerox 3125 documate scanner, not a printer. When you scan a page with a white background, the digital image it creates, whether it be a PDF, JPEG, etc the background is blue. This is not a result of bad printing. the digital image on the screen is blue, it is part of the final result of the output of the desktop scanner. I think I am also facing this issue. Did you get any proper solution?
I have the same issue as well. A few weeks ago anything that is scanned in color now has a blue hue to the background.
