Thank you for taking the time to search the KB.
Unavailability of any information on this topic suggests that in such home/SOHO MFDs the mentioned feature simply has been deemed obsolete by the manufacturer. I understand that many people will not even notice; however, leaving this out completely is rather shortsighted in my opinion.
Hello nvx,
I searched our knowledge base and couldn't find anything on borderless scanning. I suggest that you call into our support department for assistance @ 1-800-821-2797.
Each page scanned using my B215 multifunction printer has a white border because the MFD erases the edges. How do I disable this feature?
I poked around the web configuration console (as per this thread on this forum) but the respective option (Edge Erase) was not available. The Windows scanning software provided with the MFD does not allow any relevant configuration either.
Scanning using different software tools (GIMP, XSane/Linux, etc.) resulted in the exact same behaviour: there was a several millimetres wide white border around the scanned page with the text/graphics originally lying within this border being cropped.
Any hints/tips would be most welcome.
