If this is a critical function for you, and you are leasing the equipment, then I recommend that you contact your sales representative to inquire about what they can do to replace your VersaLink with a 35 page per minute AltaLink machine. The AltaLink products have the same build job function as your previous Workcentre. They are generally more expensive than the VersaLink machines but we now have a second generation of AltaLink machines available. So you might be able to get a slightly used (Certified Pre-Owned) first generation AltaLink C8035 for about the same cost as your new VersaLink machine.

That is odd and unfortunate that we cannot preview (and build/combine) scan images from both the ADF and Glass into one pdf on our new 7030 like we could on our 5 year old 7225. I really appreciate the reply though, thanks again.

Hello Tlpete,

      VersaLink models do not have a build job function. Instead they have the Preview function but that won't accomplish what you want to do.

Note: If you are scanning multiple segments, use the same input area for each segment. Scan all segments using the Document Glass, or scan all segments using the Automatic Document Feeder.
