Hello Tariq,

I searched the knowledgebase and cannot find anything about scanning over a USB connection. So at this point I would recommend contacting the Support Department to speak with a product specialist: 1-800-821-2797.

C8055 Scanning using USB Cable

Product Name: AltaLink C8030 / C8035 / C8045 / C8055 / C8070 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

We have a C8055 MFP and it's a very secure environment that doesn't have any network connection, and we can't seem to get the printer to scan documents using a USB cable directly to the Computer.

Please note we are not allowed to connect this computer to the network nor the MFP.

Printing works fine via USB but it doesn't detect any scanner on the printer using a USB cable. 

We tried upgrading the firmware and also installed the TWAIN/WIA drivers to no avail. Smart Start doesn't detect that the driver has a scanner either, it just installs a USB printer.

Does anyone know how this is done.
