jpeab,

There is an issue with the firmware 114.011.053.02700 where the printer domain name may change from the desired name originally set on the web page.

While this may not be the cause of your issue please check the settings.

Also, you can try creating a clone of the working device and apply it to the non-working device.

I hope this helps.

C8170 ScanTo folder broken since firmware update

Jump to solution
Product Name: AltaLink C8130 / C8135 / C8145 / C8155 / C8170 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Not Specified

We have two Altalink C8170s that received the 114.011.053.02700 firmware update. Ever since, the ScanTo function hasn't been working.

We use it to scan to folders in our on-prem file server using SMB. No other configuration changes were made, other than the firmware update. All other functionality is fine. When we try to scan, we receive a printout with an error message saying "FAILED Login failure. Check user password, and/or setups".

We have a third C8170 that did not receive the update and it is still working fine using the same configuration and also using the same username/password for ScanTo folder.

The server we are scanning to is Windows Server 2019.
