Please contact your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance with this. Call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.

The printer probably does not support SSL/TLS on SMTP would be my guess, and the best I can do is guess as the device is not sold in North America where I am located. I can't find any documentation from Fuji Xerox stating it supports SSL/TLS either.

It may help to find a workaround by telling me/us what mail server you are using. I can say that you can't use Gmail as of now, or any mail server using SHA-2 with this device.

But there are sometimes ways around a TLS/SSL/StartTLS issue, either free and official (Office365), or partially usable free and official (Gmail/Google Apps, with a caveat) or completely unofficial, not expensive (I'm thinking like SMTP2Go here)

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi

Just trying to setup a new CM405df, to scan to an smtp server.

The smtp server uses port 587 with TLS, plus username & password.

Have upgraded the printer firmware to 201508250651 to see if that helped.

....no extra options noticed.

From the centreware menu, properties, protocol settings, email.

Cannot see where to enable TLS

The connection status shows not connected.

error 016-764 on the screen when trying to do a scan to email.

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
