Well may I suggest some feedback to the marketing dept that this is a really foolish way to desgin this product. Obviously if it can send a scan from memory to LAN storage, it could do the same with a fax. That it doesn't seems to be a calculated disablement of capacity that's all ready there. Eveidently the price we paid for this, Xerox doesn't think is enough to warrant enabling that feature. The management chose this. I work with lots of other people who use Fujitsu for this kind of thing. Seems to do fine for them without any silly limitations.
Njem,
The only options for fax forwarding on this model is to another fax machine or to e-mail.

Setting up a Phaser 3635mfp. It has the Embedded fax feature. We want it to rcv faxes and not print them, and store them someplace, most likely on a share across the network. This is working fine for scans. I can't imagine it can't be done for a rcvd fax. But the docs and menus seem to only allow for emailing as a digital way to rcv a fax. Seems like a slow, round about way to get a fax the machine has in memory into one of the neighboring computers. Really? I hope I'm missing something.
