Re: Can't scan to folder on one of a few computers from WorkCentre 7830 via ethernet.

There is no password requirement to reach the shares.

Nope, Xerox printers don't allow a template without a password, they haven't since back in the days they contained Windows Networking to give them that ability. Connectkey family never had it, and yours is Connectkey.

The firmware install on the printer is the latest.

If it is, run the network trace and do a scan to see why it fails using Wireshark

Can't scan to folder on one of a few computers from WorkCentre 7830 via ethernet.

Product Name: WorkCentre 7830/7835/7845/7855
Operating System: Windows 10

This is a WorkCentree 7830 in a small office where most of the computers are using Scan to Folder.

I'm their network admin and have set them all up.

Now there is one to be added and it isn't going well.

Since I do this type of thing all the time, I'm rather surprised.

The Printer and Folder File Sharing settings in the Windows firewall of the target workstation are fine.

The share that the printer is pointing to is visible and writable across the network from other computers.

There is no password requirement to reach the shares.

All of the shares are targeted the same way from the printer: SMB, sharename, IP address, port 443.

None of the computers have SMB 1 turned on.

Advanced Network and Sharing settings are appropriate for File and Printer sharing.

Network discovery is turned on.

etc. etc.  Yet, when trying to scan to this one computer, we get a message on the printer screen that says job cancelled or something that means the same thing.  Job deleted perhaps....

I have NOT been able to find a reason for this behavior.

The firmware install on the printer is the latest.

The only difference is that the computer is connected via LAN wireless access point.  But the other computers don't seem to mind and access it just fine.
