Did this work for you? I put the "patch" and there is no scanning function. It just says "connecting" and then poof... not successful. I'M HARD WIRE BETWEEN THE WC3215 and my LAPTOP.
I'm in disbelieve, I just changed all my home office, to the exact set up i had 60 days ago, got a new WC3215 and upgraded to a new Lenovo laptop. All was working under the prior set up with a Lenovo desktop, now.... I had to update drivers to the 2 laptops just to be able to print wirelessly. BUT NO SCANNING!!! I need this to work.
Does Xerox understand the issue here.... I had loyalty because of my previous set up was working... NOW YOU ARE MAKING ME THINK MY DECISION TWICE.... If I don't get this resolve within 1 day, I am looking at setting it all up with a EPSON or LEXMARK.
You appear to be with xerox, I have downloaded and extracted and run the patch to no avail. I have a new lenovo and I am wondering if that patch will not work with newer Windows versions? Any help. The printer prints but the machine will not connect to scan. Forget wifi/network/ that is a joke

Hello Joe, I know this is an older issue, but you help people in the past by sharing the patch in Dropbox. Could you please do it again? I spent all the day yesterday trying to get in touch with Xerox and their reply was that unless it was logged as a "billable call" they would not help me. I will be very grateful if you can help.

I have exactly the same problem you are having: technical support won't give me the file unless I pay for it, which sounds to me to be illegal. Did you manage to sort out your problem? If so could you please let me know how? Thanks

As stated several times before you need to install the patch. The patch is on the Xerox.com support site HERE.under the related content heading. If this still is not what you are looking for we have no more options with which to help you after more than a year of posts. Please call your local support centre if you need additional assistance we have exhausted our abilities to help you.
