Cannot scan to FTP with 6279

I have this working on my printer here in the lab at 3rd level support.  I have a 6279 to a 2003 server running IIS.  If you still haven't figured this out you should call into the support hotline and 2nd level should be able to help you through the setup.  It should work fine.

I downloaded all the 6279 documents and used them to configure from the start.

Hello Mike81,

Have you checked out the Documentation page in the support section of Xerox.com?  There is a User Guide that explains how to setup Scan to FTP and I'm wondering if there is a slightly different way to do it than what you were used to with your 6204.  With a newer printer the way to setup FTP may have changed.  It's worth checking out the documentation just to be sure.

We have a 6279 wide format printer/scanner. The controller version is 15.0 build 140.  We are able to scan drawings to Mailbox and retrieve with the AccXesTools.  We would like to be able to scan to FTP.  We used to have a 6204 wide format printer/scanner.  The scan to FTP worked on the 6204, but it had older firmware running on the controller.  When we scan to our Windows 2003 FTP server running IIS6, we only get one file of 0KB.  In looking at the IIS FTP logs, there is a 550 error code.  We read a post where someone ran into this same 550 error code and got around the error by FTPing one file at a time.  Can anyone tell me if we can turn off the thumbnail JPG file that accompanies the PDF when you scan?

We downloaded BulletProof BPFTP Server 2010.  When we scan to the BPFTP server, the 6279 scan to FTP works fine.  We would rather use our Windows 2003 server running IIS as this works with all our color and black and white Xerox copiers and this Windows 2003 FTP server worked with the older 6204 scanner.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
