Re: ColorQube 9302 rebooting when user logs in

Jump to solution

It somehow had something to do with her password.  Our default password policy is set to 8 characters or more.  Somehow, she had a 7 character password.  We change her password to a standard password, and she was able to login to the device and it did not crash the controller.

Thanks for the suggestion, it pointed us to the right path.

maybe she has a password with a special character that the machine is crashing?

maybe you can ask her to change the password for a simple password and try again ?

Do a Software/Network Reset just to clear any cached data that may be causing an issue via

Machine Status > Tools > Troubleshooting > Resets > Software Reset > All Software > Reset.

After it boots back up give it another go.

If no change, machine Status > Tools > Security Settings > Image Overwrite Security > Disk Overwrite Now > Overwrite now

20-40 minutes later give it another go.

If no change, try disabling the authentication, reboot, then re-enabling.

If no change, Unplug the NIC and try to log in, obviously it fails, plug it back in and try again.

If no change, try updating the firmware (No idea here, just throwing ideas at the wall)

ColorQube 9302 rebooting when user logs in

Jump to solution
Product Name: Other - specify product in post

This sounds like a very strange problem.  We have an employee that is trying to login to the ColorQube 9302, which is on our domain, and every time she does, the device reboots.  She states that she was able to login fine for a few months, until she had to change her password.

The copier connects to our Active Directory domain, authenticates via kerberos.  All other users can login, no issues.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
