Connecting a Mac for Scanning

Product Name: VersaLink 405
Operating System: Apple iOS

Hi 

I have just bohught a Versalink 405 MFC and have found setting up the scanning function to be very complicated indeed.  Firstly I had to go to supprot for any idea as to how to do it.  Then I could not access the Embedded Web page for the printer from my iMac, even with all my Anti Virus switched off and trying Safari, Chrome and Mozilla. I managed to do it eventually from my Macbook using Mozilla (I've put this in in case anyone else has that problem!)

So, I set up the necessary file sharing on my iMac (warning - the instructions from Xerox support are fror an older version of iOS so a bit of intuition needed there) and set my iMac as a contact, which registered on the printer.  But, still will not scan to the machine, just saying 'Job undelivered' . I assume I have missed something/got something wrong but have no idea what!

 

Any ideas, please
