Considering purchase....but

Product Name: Xerox C235 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

I am looking for a new laser printer and this seems to fit the bill apart from the fact that I have read in a review that the scanner does not produce searchable pdfs?  Is that correct?  If so, is it possibel to produce searchable pdfs using other software with this scanner?
