Copy issue with Workcentre 4250 - half print from flatbed

Hello,

I need help with our xerox workcentre 4250 

When copying an 8.5 x 11 documents using the flatbed/glass the document comes out half printed on paper

Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it will print one half copied sheet & if you hit print again it  will be fine & sometimes it will only print half copird sheets.

We have used this printer for awhile with no issues. this just started a couple of weeks ago. 

I have reset the printer several times, sometimes it helps , sometimes it doesn't

Any suggestions?

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure to clean the glass.If the machine continues to copy a partial document you would need to have service take a look.  Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Hi!

 

This can happen if the scanner lock is not completely unlocked, is this problem only occuring when copying directly from the glass, or also from the document feeder?

Hi,

 

There is a known problem that look pretty much like yours. This can happen when the 'preset document size' is wrongly detected from the platen glass.

 

Make sure your software version is 15.003.033.000 and newer and then you will need to activate a special code in tools to correct the problem. Here's how once you are at the correct version:

 

 Log in as admin

 Machine Status button

 Tools tab

 General Interface - General - SF0

 Scroll down to #21 and select it - enable it - save it

 Exit - Logout

 Reboot

 

If it this too tecnical for you, do not hesitate to call Helpdesk and ask for a Tech to go onsite.

 

If you still have the problem after this procedure, there could be a problem with the scan carriage and you will need to call for a Service Rep to go onsite to correct or investigate further.
