Re: Copying and scanning problem

Hi, I have the same. It is one 1 cm broad homogen line, it appears in scanning from feeder and glass and at copy. But not at internal printing or file printing. The time of warranty is just over. Any suggestions?

Re: Copying and scanning problem

Hi,

So, it is a scanner issue. If both scan from DADF and glass (platen) have those lines, the scanner must be replaced (defective CIS). If the issue is present just from DADF clean well the little part of glass on the left.

Re: Copying and scanning problem

I've never seen a defect like that for scans. I have seen that for prints/copies. In those cases there was a label stuck in machine/glue from a label on the belt/drum

If prints from a computer look fine, or if internal pages print fine, I would call Xerox and put it up for service. It's free if it's under a year old. If it happens on internal prints, remove the print cartridge and see if you can find the label or replace the print cartridge/drum

Re: Copying and scanning problem

Does this happen through feeder only or off the glass as well?
