Update: We updated to OT4.6.1913.12093.EN.msi and the problem still persists making scanner almost useless (we also applied all Windows Updates so far). We use built-in windows scanning to scan right now but that's not why we bought this scanner. We are really disappointed in poor software (and lack of updates) from Visioneer/Xerox.

Yes, that update does cause two problems. One of them being buggy scanning for some reason.
They are aware of this and are working on a fix.
It says:
"Microsoft is aware of this issue, and this article will be updated when a fix is available."

Computer is fully updated. Computer was restarted couple of minutes ago and OT started so right now everything is fine but we don't know what will happen when we restart it again.
Edit: I checked and that update is already installed!

We're experiencing trouble on fresh Win 8.1 install with scanner DM262i. OneTouch sometimes won't start. It's listed under "Details" (list of running processes) in Task Manager, but it won't show icon in the tray area and therefore scanning doesn't work. When it does appear (sometimes) scanning works as it should. We already tried compatiblity mode and other troubleshooting stuff. Any suggestions? Thanks
