Login as the admin and go to Machine status > Tools > Service Settings > Copy Service > Feature Defaults and you can set anything you want as the defaults for every job including BW.

Default black and white copying on WorkCentre 7855i

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Is there a way to choose black and white default for copying on the 7855i copier rather than AutoDetect. Some documents may only have a blue ink signature but we do not need our copy to be colored. Our older model Xerox defaulted to black and white unless we chose autodetect or color and that is what we would like our new machine to do as well.
