Re: Docucolor 240 scan to network folder

Hi Scottb.

Thank you for using the forum.

I am not sure if you already searched the product knowledge base but I found a few solutions that may help.  I didn't have all the specifics such as OS you are using or front end that you have but this may get you closer.

http://www.support.xerox.com/support/docucolor-240-250/support/enus.html?associatedProduct=dc240-250...

I selected the Fiery as your front end and found the following solutions that might help:

How To Set up the DocuColor (Version 1.1) With a Built-in Fiery Controller for Scan to File via FTP Using EFI Fiery WebTools

http://www.support.xerox.com/support/DC240_DC250/support/en_US.html?objGUID=40543

How To Access the Scan Services of the DocuSP Server From a Workstation Using a Microsoft Windows Operating System (OS)

If none of these help I would recommend that you try searching the product kb for a solution because there are several available.  You may have a different front end and with the correct selection you may find the exact solution you need.  If you don't find anything please contact support at 1-800-821-2797.

Docucolor 240 scan to network folder

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

We have a Docucolor 240 with Fiery controller that we are trying to setup to allow users to scan directly to a network folder.  I was told by Xerox support that this requires the use of an external FTP server.  The 240 is on the network and serving as a network printer.  Can anyone confirm of provide direction on how to be able to scan to a specific folder?

Thank you for your help.
