That is completely un-related to the post here.
There is something wrong in your paper path inside the duplexing area that causes a jam, as you know, a single sided job does not come out of the printer until the exit tray, in the case of duplex, it goes into an area not used in simplex, that is where your hardware problem is.
I also have a Docuprint CM305df (Running on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.5).
My problem is similar, but a little different however.
When attempting to print double sided, the following occurs.
After selecting '2-sided' in the print dialouge box, the document attempts to print.
The printer prints the latter of the pages first on the paper, the printer then retracts the paper back into the printer (I presume to print the rear face of the page), but then the paper gets jammed in the printer before it can print the other face of the paper.
Its wierd because it has no problems printing the first face, but as soon as it feeds back in automatically it all jams up.
Sometimes there is another new piece of paper trying to come out of the printer while the first page is still waiting to be printed on the remaining side.
Is this a printer issue or a setup issue?
Thanks.
Since it has a DADF, there should be a scanner for both sides of the page in one feed. So look on the underside of the scan lid and make sure there isn't a sticker or something covering the scanner.
As stated, your model isn't in North America, so I cannot in any way consult one here to see, but ADF and DADF are standards, so it should be similar to devices I have here.
So here is a picture of one such DADF, I'm guessing that on yours, the top portion I have circled is covered in some way.
Thanks Joe,
no it doesn't jam, the option is there for duplex copy and when selected runs teh paper once through the ADF, but doesn't ask for the other side. (I always assumed all ADFs could duplex actually).
It prints duplex quite happily.
I will try and get in touch with local support and see what they say - thanks!
Does it jam or does it not feed the paper twice, or does it feed it twice and not output the 2 sided job?
Does it print duplex?
The User manual from FujiXerox (It is not a Xerox product so we don't have them in North America) states it has an ADF and not a DADF (Duplex Automatic Document Feeder) so I know it would have to feed the paper twice..
Hi baradhill,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. The DocuPrint CM305 df does not support duplex / two sided copying or printing. The machine will only print on one side.
Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
